piCture pOlish Frosting Review/Swatches

Good morning! Today is the first of nine Thursdays where I will be posting either a swatch or nail art featuring a shade from piCture pOlish or Ozotic. The first gorgeous polish I have to show you is Frosting, which was a collaboration shade between Cosmetic Cupcake and piCture pOlish. This beautiful shade has magenta, silver, and purple glitter in a soft pink base with scattered silver hearts. I'm wearing three coats and I love how the additional coats create a glitter sandwich effect!

If you are interested in purchasing any piCture pOlish shades, you can do so directly from their website or you can find a more local distributor on their network page. You can also keep updated with piCture pOlish on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Youtube.

Zoya Pixie Dust Fall 2013 Collection Review/Swatches

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you're all ready for the weekend because I certainly am. Let's kick it off with some gorgeous Pixie Dusts for fall!

Tomoko is a champagne textured shade. This is two coats.

Dhara is a warm red orange shade that needed two coats.

Sunshine is a navy blue shade with lots of sparkle. This is one coat. Weird name for a blue!

Chita is a forest green shade that has a bit of gold shimmer in it. This is one coat.

Arabella is a stunning shade of magenta that was also perfect in one coat.

Carter is a royal purple shade and surprisingly, the sheerest of the bunch. This is two coats and I actually think I could have used three.

The fall Pixie Dusts are on sale at www.zoya.com now and retail for $9 each. Have you picked any of these up? Do you plan to? I think my top picks are Chita and Tomoko, although I do like all of them!

Neon & Neutral Splatter Nail Art

Good morning everyone! I'll have the Zoya Fall Pixie Dusts up soon, but today I have some long overdue nail art to share. I love splatter designs, but they are so messy to create! If you feel the same way I do, keep reading for an alternative method.

I actually created this "splatter" nails by using a sponge! Not a dense one like a makeup wedge, but a more wire-y one with larger holes. I started out with a base of OPI Skull & Glossbones and sponged black polish first, then Zoya Trixie, and then China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy. I love the pop of color that the neon brings!

Teal Another Tail is the shining star of this collection: a gorgeous teal green with an almost duo-chrome pink shimmer. This is three thin coats.

This is two coats of Turbulence with one coat of Clearly on Top topcoat. I love how the topcoat brings out the shimmer!

Every Nook & Cranberry is a satin matte polish in a gorgeous cranberry red/pink shade with pink and gold shimmer. This is two coats.

This is two coats of Every Nook & Cranberry with one coat of Clearly on Top. Again, love how the shimmer comes out with topcoat!

Zoya Irresistible Collection Review/Swatches

Good morning everyone! I have the last of the Zoya summer collection swatches for you today. The Irresistible collection is made up of six amazingly gorgeous foil metallic polishes. The formulas on all of these polishes are fantastic and I didn't have an issue with any of them.

Amy is a warm orange shade full of golden shimmer. I used two coats here.

Tinsley is a rose pink shade with golden shimmer; this is two coats.

Rikki is a beautiful green metallic that reminds me of spearmint. This has a mix of gold and silver shimmer I believe. I used two coats.

Kerry is a golden yellow shade; this is three coats here.

Bobbi is an amazing shade of magenta. This could have easily been a one-coater, but I used two for this photo out of habit.

Hazel is an icy light blue polish with silver and gold shimmer. I think it could be FeiFei's lighter-toned sister. This is two coats.

My top pick out of this collection is Bobbi, hands down. I was blown away when I got around to swatching that one. Second pick would be Amy. The Irresistible collection is available on Zoya's website and retails for $8/bottle. Did you pick any of these up? What do you think of them?

Zoya Pixie Dust Summer 2013 Collection Review/Swatches

Better late than never, right? It's still summer! If you loved the original Pixie Dusts that Zoya released, you are going to LOVE these! They are bright, cheerful, and perfect for summer. To prevent sounding like a broken record, I used two coats for all of these swatches, no top coat.

Solange is a cheery sunshine yellow.

Destiny is my absolute favorite, a coral with golden shimmer.

Beatrix is a juicy tangerine shade.

Stevie is a sweet shade of lavender.

Miranda is a bold raspberry shade.

Liberty is a gorgeous royal blue.

These polishes are available on Zoya's website and retail for $9 each. Did you pick any of them up yet? Do you plan to? My favorite of this bunch is definitely Destiny, but I also really love Beatrix and Miranda!

PopSugar Must Have August Box Review/Photos

Good afternoon everyone! I was pleasantly surprised a little while ago when my mailman stopped at my door and delivered my PopSugar box for August! I didn't even know that it had shipped yet, so I was really excited that it was here already. The PopSugar Must Have box is a collection of products ranging from fashion, fitness, home, beauty, and food categories. I got the July box too and although I was very happy with it, I didn't get around to doing a review for it.

The first couple of things in my box were Dried Granny Smith Apple rings from NatureBox ($4). These are so yummy and I don't have to feel guilty about snacking on them!

Also pictured here is a body wash from Lulah in the Citron scent ($11.25). This. is. heavenly. I'm all over anything lemon scented and am dying to use this in the shower tomorrow morning!

Up next is an adorable Weekly Agenda from May Designs ($17). This chevron pattern seems to be incredibly popular right now and I love that it's in a turquoise blue shade! As much as I love having my calendar app in my iPhone, nothing beats a paper planner.

The adorable little Apple Bowl is from Lunares (I can't find this exact product on their website, but judging by other similar products, I believe it probably retails around $40). Not only is it super cute, but it feels and looks extremely well made. I can't wait to put this out on my coffee table for autumn!

Out of all the great things in this box, I might be most excited about the Bentgo lunch box set ($14.99). I'm not going to school anymore, but these will come in so handy for work! It comes with two containers, plastic silverware, and a strap to seal the boxes closed for traveling. Everything is dishwasher safe as well!

The Dermalogica Precleanse ($9.50) and Special Cleansing Gel ($10) will get tested out in the shower tomorrow morning, but I've heard good things about the brand and I'm excited to try them! The cleansing gel is lightly scented like mint and lavender.

Last but not least, the Gorjana Open Circle necklace was included in this month's box as a gift for PopSugar's anniversary ($65). I really wasn't digging the heavy chain necklace that I received in last month's box, but this one is exactly my style! I don't own a lot of gold jewelry either, so it's nice to add this to my collection.

I also received a 20% off coupon for Lulah and a coupon for 50% off of my first NatureBox in my box.

Overall, I estimated the total worth of this box to be around $170! Since the monthly subscription for the boxes costs $35, I'd call that a steal! I already can't wait to see what's in store for September. If you are interested in signing up for the PopSugar Must Have box, please use my referral link: http://popsu.gr/hWxB and use code REFER5 to get $5 off your first purchase! What would you love most to receive from this box?

KBShimmer The Grape Beyond & Would Jubilee It? Review/Swatches

For those of you who have never experienced this brand before, KBShimmer is an awesome company headed by Christy, a fantastic lady who makes equally fantastic polishes and other products! KBShimmer is celebrating it's 5th year in business this month and to celebrate, Christy designed this beautiful polish duo. These two shades will be sold separately, but were created to work well together.

The Grape Escape is a medium matte purple polish with turquoise shimmer. The first coat of this polish was a little bit streaky, but the second coat evened out perfectly.

This is two coats of The Grape Escape with topcoat. I love how the topcoat makes the turquoise shimmer really pop! This is definitely one of my favorite color combos!

Would Jubilee It? is a glitter topper created with all of Christy's favorite glitter (which happen to be a lot of mine, too!). This clear base is packed with fuchsia, aqua, and silver circle glitter, as well as a mix of other glitter. This is two coats over The Grape Escape.

This duo will be launching on August 8th on KBShimmer's website. As always, keep updated with them on Facebook for all the first looks at new shades! Will you be picking up one or both of these shades? You know that I totally recommend that you do!
